Following is an explanation of how the demo versions work:
Preflight Pro™ 1.0 Demo
Preflight Pro will function fully for 30 days. After 30 days have elapsed, Preflight Pro will no longer function. Any Quark document scanned by Preflight Pro will display normally in Quark XPress.
Preflight Designer Edition™ 1.0 Demo
Preflight Pro will function fully for 30 days. After 30 days have elapsed, Preflight Pro will no longer function. Any Quark document scanned by Preflight Pro will display normally in Quark XPress.
QX-Tools 2.0 Demo
All tools function fully for 30 days. After 30 days expires you can continue using QuarkXPress but QX-Tools will no longer function.
Note: QuarkXPress has its own demo mode which alters the documents so you can't open them in the standard version of QuarkXPress. QX-Tools demo does NOT put QuarkXPress into demo mode, meaning the documents you create in QuarkXPress while using QX-Tools will NOT be modified in any way.
PhotoTools 2.0 Demo
All tools function fully for 30 days. After 30 days expires you can continue using Photoshop but PhotoTools will no longer function.
PageTools 2.0 Demo
All tools function fully for 30 minutes. After 30 minutes expires you can continue using PageMaker but PageTools will no longer function. You must quit and re-launch PageMaker if you wish to continue using PageTools. You can do this an unlimited number of times.
VectorTools 2.0 Demo
All tools function fully for 30 days. After 30 days expires you can continue using Illustrator and Freehand but VectorTools will no longer function.
Intellihance 3.0 Demo
You can run Intellihance up to 5 times per session. You must quit and re-launch Photoshop if you wish to continue using Intellihance. You can run Intellihance on a total of 30 images before it fully expires.
Portfolio 3.0
Portfolio will function fully for 60 days. After 60 days have elapsed, Portfolio will run as a "read only" browser. Any catalog files created during the Demo period can be opened with a personalized version of Portfolio.
PhotoNavigator 1.0.1 for Photoshop 3.0.4 and 3.0.5 ONLY
This Photoshop plug-in allows you to quickly and accurately navigate your way around large images. It works by creating a small floating palette thumbnail of your entire image. To navigate around in your open document, you simply click with your mouse or drag the positioning rectangle located inside the palette's thumbnail to the area of the image that you want to go. Your larger image will reposition itself accordingly. PhotoNavigator will save you lots of time, especially if you need to work while you are zoomed in at ratios greater than 1:1.
CyberPress 1.0 Demo
All features function for 30 days. All exported items are also tagged with the word Demo. After 30 days expires you can continue using QuarkXPress but CyberPress will no longer function.
Converting a Demo to a full functioning version
Each of the demos can be changed into a full-functioning version by providing a valid serial number. To purchase a valid serial number, please call Extensis at 800-796-9798.
Installation
IMPORTANT Note - Please disable any Virus Protection software before installing an Extensis Product. Disregard the Read Me instruction in each product Installer specifically directing you to restart your Macintosh with no extensions running. You will need to have your CD-ROM driver loaded in order read the Extensis Evaluation CD.
To install any program, simply double-click the appropriate installer icon and follow the on-screen installation instructions.
How to use the Acrobat Documents
Information regarding the features and functionality of software on this CD is in Acrobat format. The Adobe Acrobat Reader which allows you to view and print these Acrobat documents is also included on this CD. Please print these files and use them for reference when using the software.
